When Kate Watts abandoned her law career to open a food pantry in Northeast Minneapolis, she never dreamed it would be this difficult. Facing the heartbreaking prospect of turning hungry people away, she is grateful for the anonymous donations that begin appearing at the end of each month. Determined to identify and thank her secret benefactor, she launches a plan and catches Ian —a charismatic hacker with a Robin Hood complex—in the act.
Ian intrigues Kate in a way no man ever has. But after learning he’s snooped around on her personal computer, she demands retribution. Impressed with her tolerance and captivated by her spirit, he complies and begins to slowly charm his way past her defenses. Time spent with Ian is never boring, and Kate soon finds herself falling for the mysterious hacker.
But Ian has enemies and they’re growing restless. In the hacking world, exploiting a target’s weakness is paramount, and no price is too high to stop an attack. And when Kate learns exactly how much Ian has paid, she’ll discover just how strong her love is for the man who has hacked his way into her heart.

REVIEW:
3 1/2 out of 5 Stars - Overall
4 out of 5 Stars - Romance
Now when I say that Kate and Ian embody everything that a perfect couple should be, I mean it. She first meets him because of the good deeds (that were done in not such a good way) that he secretly continued to do for her. This is a great hacker story, I personally have only read a few. This would be at the top, it may have even been my favorite of the few I read simply for my love of the romance between these two main characters but the problem in it is that it fell short in it's actual story line. In fact, it took me a total of a week to finally finish solely because of my inability to get completely attached to what was going on. Don't get me wrong, the love that they had between each other will bring butterflies to your stomach and the feelies to your heart but it lacks action and essentially a catchy climax. It needed something extra, an ummph and it would've been a minimum of a 4 & 1/2 star overall rating but it fell short, sadly. I would still read others from this author because the writing was written well and the banter kept you laughing without being too much. I may have loved Kate and Ian together and boy did I, but it wasn't enough to keep the story afloat. Overall, I say it's still worth a read if you need something that isn't too sad, too intense or too much of any particular thing, than this book is your go too.
