Hi ladies! It's that time of year again when Book Expo is here and dawning on us like the beauty she is. As you know, I've been fortunate enough to blog through the experience with you amazing ladies and the book giveaways that we've both been blessed with.
So I thought I'd recap of last year in a quick copy & paste so that you newbies know what to expect. I've been going as press to the Book Expo since 2013 (even with my old blog & bloggettes! Miss you Book Bangers!) So let me really break down for you once again the incredibleness that is the Book Expo of America.
May 14, 2016
Chicago, Mccormick Place
Holy hell on a happy stick.
Sorry ladies, I'm in a car, best friend is driving, shout out Book Banger, my sister blog, check it out ladies, I know you probably didn't believe me when I said I'd be driving to Chicago from NYC but ladiesssssss, we did it and it was worth it, so so very worth it. It's all good though, it's coming right back home next year. Okay, I need to get right in this so I don't keep you waiting.
First things first, I'm so happy right now yet so sad it's over. It was very chill this year, I have to give it to Chicago, they really did a good job hosting BEA. We were definitely worried because since 2013 that I've been going, NYC has been A+-ing the experience. And don't judge me because I remember telling you girls I get carsick when I read but damn it, if I don't read Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige already, I may never be the same. So far so good, so fingers crossed.
Now back to the experience, the Buzz Panels were pretty good this year, I definitely enjoyed them more last year but they did bring Stephanie Garber's Caraval so a girl can't complain about it. Okay, I hope you're ready, promise you won't get jealous? I GOT CARAVAL EARLY! I know what you're thinking, will there be a giveaway? Will I give it to you girls? I'll see what I can do, I wanna make sure that's an a-okay and I'll email the publisher and make sure it's all good. I'm sure it will be because let's be honest, authors are rockstars and they want to keep us happy!
So going on to the days (and now I didn't stay for Bookcon, I wanted to but work & duty calls), I got such an abundance of good books this year that I will probably be in hibernation the rest of the year. I met Sylvia Day which by the way has a completely new look and vibe about here that I can honestly say I felt through her books. Harlequinn obviously is my go to for best publisher, they gave me & my fellow sister blogs special bags of books before all the signings, at the breakfast and damn it, basically through their business cards with a call me baby signature on it. I loved them and I love it.
Honestly girls, in the next few weeks you'll probably be overwhelmed by books from BEA because I want you to really go out and get these bad boys. And you know me, I promise I won't lie, I don't get paid for any of this (except for my instagram promos but I'm always honest with you guys) but I'm telling youuuuuuu, I've got a good feeling about this. I literally walked out with 70+ books (seriously was insane this year) and I'm ready to completely wow you girls with this selection. I'll even try to link this up top once I update my template so you can always access these different books.
Anywho ladies, I know I've probably overwhelmed you with my extreme excitement but seriously, these few years of BEA have completely been a blessing and I'm super excited to share with you. And to my fellow BEA-ers and bloggers, librarians (Hi G! Saw you every time I went to wait in a new line), vloggers and any other media I haven't said hi. I am so sorry I seemed to be all over the place this year, it got a little hectic for a few hours on Thursday and I was in full blog mode. Love all you ladies and my amazing blogettes & dolls. You know you're the best. I promise to deliver some really awesome things soon!
xoxo
Sabina
