For almost two years now, Kiera's boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she's ever wanted: loving, tender and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together, Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university, everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart.

Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source—a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he's purely a friend that she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes... and none of them will ever be the same.

REVIEW:
3 1/2 out of 5 Stars

Okay.. I gave in. I hate the fact that I gave in. I know I mentioned that I would never read this book (quote on quote "even if S.C. Stephens asked me to read it herself.") even though I read the other two by S.C. Stephens who is an amazing writer! I mean really! I just heard about Thoughtless and decided that I'd rather just skip the initial book because of the immense and intense amount of cheating. Now listen guys, you know me and for those that are new (Hi! Welcome), I'm a sucker for a love triangle. Now when I say this I mean a love triangle where one guy is basically a cross between Satan and a jackass while the other is sent from the man himself with metaphorical angel wings. I don't like reading about two amazing men pawning and fighting over a girl, it breaks my heart because real life really isn't like that. And although, I never really enjoying reading books about real life at the same time I still want to somewhat relate to the story. Now throughout the book, it was true. Kiera was a bit of an annoying protagonist, there were even a few moments I hated her like when she was engaging in some intense sexual foreplay with Kellan while Denny was about 10 feet away. Which by the way, Denny is wonderful and at no point did I read this book and think, oh my gosh I love Kellan more than Denny. In fact, it was a weird toss up. I LOVED them both, Kiera I started to despise which hurt me because the other two in the series that I read (yes, remember my review December 2014 where I read the other two books & skipped the first) So here is why I rated this 3 1/2 stars. First off, I'm biased, Kiera pissed me off in the the entire book but I loved her so much in the rest of the series that I basically shut my eyes to it. I couldn't review it lower than a 3, it would go against my eventual love for Kellan because Kellan is one of my book boyfriends (Denny is wonderful and would have made it hard to love Kellan in the later books if I had read this first like intended.) Now even though Kiera threw me into an emotional turmoil, Denny and his broken heart, the cheating, the lies, the two amazing men, I still have to say it's worth a read. For those that get angry at these intense type of love triangles just believe me when I say that ALL will work itself out. Our beloved Denny and Kellan will prove to be happy and prosperous in future books as well as our protagonist who I will remember that I love so very much. Kiera, I still love you even though this book showed you in the worst light, you're still a worthy protagonist and I suggest you guys give it a read after you read the other two.
